I love being a dental assistant, both working within a great dental team and assisting patients. I chose to be in dental care as I am a people person and I care about other people, and really enjoy helping others.

I have been a dental assistant since 1983. I have enjoyed my dental career around raising 3 children, who are all grown up now and 2 are married. My family is very close to me, and I have a good understanding of the importance of strong relationships.

I am a structured person, so dental assisting really suits my personality because I excel at being organised and prepared for patient care. I love being able to help patients attain great dental health and help make them feel comfortable while they are in the dental chair.

In my spare time I have carried out quite a few trips to Africa, as well as an Aboriginal community in South Australia. These have been purposeful planned efforts to make a small difference in the world. My husband and I have a heart for those less fortunate than us. By volunteering at these places, we hope we can make a positive difference in the lives of those we encounter.
