Invisalign aligners are clear and look similar to tooth-whitening trays, but are tighter fitting to move teeth. They're like contact lenses for teeth. The technology is proven, and advanced.
Invisalign reatment in most cases take no longer than conventional braces, and may in fact be shorter. Children's treatment, or complex orthodontic issues are however still best managed with conventional braces instead of Invisalign.
A thorough assessment is necessary prior to starting any form of orthodontic treatment. Prior to the commencement of Invisalign, The Smile Team dental rooms recommend all our patients to have a consultation with an orthodontist as well so that patients are fully informed about both conventional braces and invisalign treatment options.
The following steps outline the Invisalign treatment process.
Step 1.The Smile Team dental rooms create your records using photos and impressions following an assessment.
Step 2. A Computer Tomography scan is made of your casts
Step 3. A Computer Aided Design program is used to assess, predict, and simulate treatment.
Step 4. The Smile Team dental rooms review your treatment plan on our CAD based, virtual treatment software
Step 5. Invisalign then uses advanced stereolithography to create aligners for each stage of your dental treatment
Step 6. Invisalign Aligners are delivered to The Smile Team dental rooms to begin straightening your smile within 21 days.
